Conscientious Colleagues

Jon Moen and Reina Irvine co-manage a challenging case of an individual who struggles with chemical dependency and mental health concerns. The individual resided in a supported living setting several hours away from Aitkin County. One afternoon Jon and Reina were notified that this person was not doing well and required alternative supports and interventions. Being the conscientious, caring, and supportive case managers they both are, Jon and Reina immediately rearranged their schedules and traveled several hours away to assist the person in need. Upon arrival to the individual’s home the situation was assessed, support and coaching was provided to the person, collaboration, communication, and resource sharing with local law enforcement and the residential provider given, and the placement was salvaged. Jon and Reina returned to Aitkin, late in the evening without complaint, feeling good about the collaborative effort they managed together. In the following days both were overheard talking about the valuable strengths the other possessed in working through the difficult situation, expressing gratitude for one another and the expertise they each hold.
